Hickory Canyon
During when Tropical Storm Bill came up Missouri over the weekend. I went to Hickory Canyons. I don't recommend going by yourself don't when it rains that hard but I went with friends . Hickory Canyons is one of Missouri's hidden treasures, overshadowed by neighboring Hawn State Park and Pickle Springs. Here, the trails wander through deep sandstone box canyons and piney forest.

Memorial Good Turn from Nicholas Rousseau on Vimeo.
Memorial Good Turn started in the Gravois Trail District back in 1950. The Boy Scouts place a US flag a on each grave at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. For more than six decades, approximately 4,000 Scouts have gathered at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery prior to Memorial Day to decorate each of the 280,000 graves with an American Flag. The tradition, entering its 67th year, is one of the longest running Memorial Day events within the Boy Scouts of America.
